"I switched to this insurance agency because I was quoted a lower premium than I was paying with my previous carrier. A month after my policy was issued, I was informed that the agency had entered my date of birth incorrectly. When they corrected it, my premium increased by over $250 per month despite the fact that my actual age did not change just the month of birth.

What was most frustrating was not just the increase itself, but how the situation was handled. I spent over two weeks sending follow-up emails asking for explanations and updates. The responses I received repeatedly stated that underwriting had confirmed the increase and that there was no accommodation process, no override available, and no meaningful resolution offered.

The agency acknowledged that the original information used to quote and bind the policy was incorrect, yet the financial consequences of that mistake were placed entirely on me as the customer. Had the policy been quoted accurately from the beginning, I would not have canceled my previous insurance and switched carriers.

I understand that policies must be rated using accurate information. My issue is that inaccurate information was used to sell the policy in the first place, and when the error was discovered, there was little accountability and very poor communication throughout the process.

If you’re considering working with this agency, I would strongly encourage you to verify every detail on your quote before canceling your existing coverage. My experience left me feeling misled, ignored, and ultimately paying significantly more than what was originally represented."
